Claim: Many Asian Americans believe that affirmative action hurts their chances of getting into colleges.
Rating: This claim is FALSE. Affirmative Action does not hurt Asian Americans’ chances of attending college. In fact, according to a study released by the U.S. Department of Education, Asians have the highest college enrollment rate among all ethnic groups, at 59%. And in fact, if affirmative action was outlawed, it would hurt Asian Americans’ chance of getting into college.
Roe v. Wade is a lawsuit that led to an important decision made by the Supreme Court in 1973, which legalized abortion in the United States.
On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, saying that the choice to legalize abortion should be left up to individual states. Abortion will become illegal in 19 states.

Claim: With COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreasing nationwide, many states have lifted their mask mandate and you no longer need to wear a mask in public indoor settings.
Rating: This claim is MOSTLY TRUE. Mask mandates do vary county by county but for the most part, you no longer need to wear a mask in public. But if you have a compromised immune system, or are caring for elderly adults or anyone with a weak immune system, it is still strongly recommended that you still wear a mask when you go out to protect the vulnerable members of your family.
